EHS Manager

Matrix Recruitment is seeking candidates for an EHS Manager (Fixed Term Contract) for our manufacturing client based in Portlaoise.

You will lead site Environmental, Health & Safety activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, driving safety culture, and supporting safe operations across the facility.

Your New Role

Key Responsibilities:

• EHS Leadership & Compliance - Ensure the site meets (HSA), EPA, and corporate EHS standards
• Risk Management & Investigations - Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and corrective actions
• Training & Safety Culture - Identify EHS training needs, coordinate programmes, and promote strong safety awareness
• Contractor & Site Safety Oversight

What You Need

• Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• 2+ years' EHS experience in manufacturing, ideally within chemical / life science sector.
• Train the Trainer qualification (QQI Level 6)
• Experience with engineering projects or (NPI) from a safety perspective.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
