EHS Consultant - Southeast UK Hybrid / Flexible Working

JSM are partnering with a well-established environmental, health, safety, and sustainability consultancy that supports some of the world's recognisable companies across sectors including manufacturing, technology, food & beverage, bio-pharma, and chemicals. We are seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Consultant to join our UK consulting team, based in the Southeast. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact across a diverse project portfolio while advancing your career within a supportive, forward-thinking organisation.
The RoleAs an EHS Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting multinational clients with the development, implementation, and ongoing management of global EHS programmes. Your work will span:
- EHS regulatory compliance
 - Management systems (ISO 45001)
 - Development of written policies and procedures
 - Ergonomics and workplace assessments
 - Staff training and awareness initiatives
 
This position offers a high level of autonomy, with the opportunity to lead tasks and projects, liaise directly with client stakeholders, and contribute to the success of complex EHS programmes across global operations.
Requirements / What we're looking for- Confident working independently on complex assignments
 - A strong organiser, able to manage projects and collaborate effectively with teams
 - Skilled in technical report writing and able to make sound, insightful recommendations
 - Comfortable interfacing with clients and contributing to high-impact solutions
 - Enthusiastic about fostering a positive, inclusive, and professional working culture
 - Willing to travel to client sites and offices as required (approx. 25%)
 
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field
 - Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS consulting or industry-based role
 - NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (or relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications)
 - Ergonomics/DSE qualification and experience is highly desirable
 - Strong knowledge of UK and international EHS legislation, guidance, and compliance standards
 - Membership of a relevant professional body is preferred
