Teacher of Science (ECT) Location: Secondary school near Braintree, Essex Salary: MPS Contract: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teacher of Science to join our supportive and forward-thinking secondary school near Braintree. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT to begin their teaching career in a nurturing environment with a strong commitment to professional development.

About the Role

You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to specialise at KS4 and beyond depending on experience and interests. You will join a collaborative and well-resourced Science department that is passionate about delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and fostering curiosity in students.

We Are Looking For Someone Who: Is an ECT (or trainee teacher completing QTS) in Science Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education Is reflective, enthusiastic, and keen to develop their classroom practice Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team
