Job Title: Ecologist Specialist
Job Location: York, Leeds, Newcastle or Doncaster, UK
Job Type: Full-time contract, Until 2/4/27
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite however there will be travel so this will be counted as days onsite)

Summary:
Survey ecosystems and assess the diversity, profusion and behaviour of the different organisms within them.
Conducting field surveys to collect biological information about the numbers and distribution of organisms.
Carrying out taxonomy, classification of organisms, applying sampling strategies and employing a range of habitat survey techniques.
Aerial photography, maps carrying, environmental impact assessment, analysing and interpreting data, using specialist software programs.
Working on habitat management and creation, writing reports and issuing recommendations. Liaising with and advising, site managers, engineers, planners and others associated with a survey building relationships with stakeholders.
Keeping up to date with new environmental policies and legislation, contributing ideas about changes based on ecological findings.

Minimum Requirement:
Need someone who is experienced and confident, comfortable working across senior management and front line staff - need someone who can deliver and able to hit the ground running.
Being able to influence and collaborate across different disciplines and adapt to that.
