The role

The successful Ecologist will undertake habitat surveys, ecological appraisals and technical reporting for projects across multiple sectors. The Ecologist will contribute to environmental assessments, provide ecological input throughout project lifecycles and assist with delivering practical mitigation strategies. This Ecologist role combines fieldwork, data analysis and client-facing responsibilities, offering excellent variety and professional development. The Ecologist will also work closely with planners, environmental specialists and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or a related discipline
  • Experience within ecology, environmental consultancy or a similar sector
  • Understanding of UK ecological legislation, policy and guidance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience producing technical reports and survey documentation
  • Full UK driving licenceFull right to work in the UK
  • Must live in or within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office
  • Good organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
