GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to work within a supportive specialist educational setting in Scarborough.
We are seeking an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their development. The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences, encourage positive relationships, and provide consistent support tailored to each child's individual needs.

Contract Type: Temporary, Full Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Salary Scale: £92 - £115 per day (Depending on experience) About the Role:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. You will support children's communication, social development, emotional wellbeing, and early learning while encouraging curiosity, independence, and positive behaviour.
Core Responsibilities of the Early Years Practitioner:- Support children through engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Encourage children's communication, social interaction, confidence, and independence
- Observe and monitor children's development, sharing relevant progress with the wider team
- Adapt activities and approaches to meet individual learning, developmental, and emotional needs
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, colleagues, and families to support children's wellbeing and progress
- Relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 3 Early Years Educator, CACHE, or equivalent
- Previous experience working with young children in an Early Years, nursery, school, or childcare setting
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting individual children
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for helping young children develop, learn, and thrive
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience working with children or young people in an appropriate setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
