Early Years Lecturer - Peterborough

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education college in Peterborough to recruit an experienced Early Years Lecturer on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to join a supportive team delivering high-quality Early Years education and helping learners develop the skills required for a successful career in the sector.

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £30 - £35 Per Hour
Contract: Temporary / Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess Early Years courses from Levels 1 to 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with college and national standards.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support learner achievement.
• Develop and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans and course materials.
• Carry out internal verification duties in line with awarding body requirements.
• Support learners through academic tutorials and personal development.
• Work with employers to arrange and monitor student work placements.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
• Participate in open events, interviews and learner recruitment activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and achievement.
• Embed English, Maths and digital skills within teaching and learning.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a related subject.
• A Level 5 teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieve this within three years.
• An Assessor qualification such as A1, TQA or CAVA.
• Minimum Level 2 English and Maths.
• Recent and relevant industry experience within Early Years.
• A strong understanding of curriculum frameworks and current sector developments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• The ability to support learners with different abilities and learning needs.
