Job title: Early Careers Coach (Software & Digital)

Salary: £46,702-£49,309 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
You will be instrumental in coaching and developing our apprentices through on-the job training and assessment activity
You will monitor, review and assess apprentice progress as well as conduct assessments in the workplace to ensure that all apprentices attain the required skills, knowledge, and behaviours to obtain occupational competency in software engineering
You will work with and in collaboration with a range of stakeholders across the business, building and maintaining effective relationships to maximise apprentice opportunities and development
You will provide comprehensive welfare support and career guidance to aid our apprentice's progression, attainment, and successful transition into the business
Your skills and experiences:
Occupational competence within a software engineering/Computer Science or equivalent field
A relevant Degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent
Proven experience of coaching, training and/or assessing apprentices or other learners
Proven experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Qualified assessor with relevant awarding body (e.g. TAQA, A1 etc.)
Experience of working with internal and external quality assurance and funding regulatory bodies
Internal Quality Assurance / Internal Verifier Qualification (e.g. V1 etc.)

The EDAS Software Team:
The EDAS Software team has a diverse background from both industry and education sectors, which enables them to actively support the apprentices along their apprenticeship journey and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders. The team currently consists of 5 Skills Coaches which cover 3 sites including Warton/Samlesbury, Brough and Yeovil (2 at Warton/Samlesbury, 1 at Brough and 1 at Yeovil), however everyone works collaboratively both virtually and in person on a regular basis.
We are looking for a highly motivated skills coach who will assess, coach, develop and support our future Software Engineers within our Early Careers Degree Apprenticeship programme.
