Department Ear, Nose and Throat

Location Greater Manchester (flexibility of locality)

Responsible to ENT Clinical Director

Contract Type Employed or Contractor (hours to suit)

Summary of Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant ENT Surgeon to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide expert care in the diagnosis and management of ear, nose, and throat conditions for adult patients. This role includes outpatient clinics, elective procedures, within a community-based environment.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality ENT services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Perform ENT procedures in line with your sub-specialty interest (e.g., otology, rhinology, head & neck).
  • Collaborate with audiology and radiology teams for comprehensive care.
  • Participate in audit, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support and uphold CQC, GMC, and NICE standards, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Contribute to research, service development, and innovation as appropriate.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Otolaryngology or within 6 months of CCT.
  • FRCS (ORL-HNS) or equivalent.
  • Evidence of advanced ENT training and competence in independent practice.
