Job Description

If you're an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, this is an opportunity to step in and support a CFO at a senior level.

This is a senior EA role with real visibility. You'll operate as a trusted partner to the CFO, helping manage competing priorities, protect their time and ensure they remain focused on what matters most. Working at this level, you'll be confident navigating a high pressure environment and engaging with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.

The company itself is a fantastic place to work - offering excellent benefits, a strong culture and flexible hybrid working. The role is 9-5 and split between London, Crawley and home working.

The role
  • In this role, you'll take ownership of a demanding diary and inbox, making smart decisions around priorities and ensuring the CFO's schedule is carefully managed and optimised. Acting as a gatekeeper, you'll bring structure, forward planning and clarity to a busy and often shifting workload.
  • You'll play a key role in the operations of the finance team, supporting across results cycles, audits, budgets, Board reporting and major transactions. You'll be closely involved in Board and Audit Committee activity - coordinating papers and agendas, managing logistics and ensuring everything is prepared to a high standard.
  • A significant part of the role will involve preparing and refining presentations, reports and briefings, often containing complex financial and commercially sensitive information. You'll also act as a central point of contact for senior stakeholders, including Board members, the Executive Committee, auditors, banks and legal advisers.
  • Discretion is critical. You'll be handling sensitive information daily, working in line with governance and regulatory requirements, and operating with professionalism and sound judgement at all times.
About you
  • You're an experienced Executive Assistant who is comfortable operating at senior level, ideally having supported a CFO, Finance Director or similar within a complex or regulated organisation.
  • You're switched on, numerate and able to work at pace, with the confidence to manage competing demands and take real ownership of your role. You understand financial information, are comfortable working with numbers, and bring strong commercial awareness.
  • You've supported Board and Audit Committee processes before, and you're confident engaging with senior executives and external advisers. You bring gravitas, excellent judgement and a calm, composed approach under pressure.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, you're also technically strong - particularly across Outlook, PowerPoint and Word - with a track record of producing high-quality work.
  • Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous, particularly if you've had exposure to audits, transactions or investor activity. Experience within a FTSE100 or FTSE250 environment would also be beneficial.
