E-Learning Developer

Swim England based in Loughborough is seeking an eLearning Developer to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract. Maternity Cover - 9-12 months - Fixed-Term Contract. Minimum of 2 Days a Week Onsite (Monday & Tuesday each week) 35 Hours a Week (Mon-Fri) £33,000 - £35,000

This role will be known as Learning Solutions Developer internally.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Learning Solutions Developer to join us on a 9-12-month maternity-cover basis, designing and developing engaging eLearning and blended learning solutions for a diverse range of Swim England and Institute of Swimming stakeholders.

You will work closely with subject matter experts and colleagues across the Learning Solutions team to turn learning requirements into effective, accessible and engaging digital learning experiences.

A key focus will be using Articulate 360, particularly Rise and Storyline, alongside multimedia, graphic and interactive resources to develop high-quality learning products and continuously improve existing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement engaging eLearning and blended learning solutions using Articulate 360.
• Use graphic, multimedia and interactive resources to create engaging learning experiences.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate content into effective digital learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Learning Solutions team to deliver learning resources on time and to a high standard.
• Support the development of accessible, flexible and engaging online learning products for Swim England and Institute of Swimming customers.
• Apply instructional and visual design principles to ensure learning solutions meet agreed quality standards.
• Review customer feedback and use it to inform product development and improve learning solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Articulate 360 and other relevant learning technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital learning practices, processes and resources within the team.
• Support occasional photography and video production to develop digital learning resources.

Skills and Experience Essential

• Proficient in Articulate 360, particularly Rise and Storyline.
• Experience designing and developing eLearning or digital learning solutions.
• Ability to use video cameras and digital photography equipment to produce resources to a reasonable standard.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrable administration experience.
• Willingness to work occasionally outside standard business hours, including evenings or weekends.
• GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Desirable

• Experience using audio equipment.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience working within a team of multi-skilled professionals.
• Knowledge of basic video production processes.
• Understanding of online learning management systems, such as Totara.
• Degree in education, technology, psychology or a related subject.
