E-commerce Software Development Manager - Bradford, West Yorkshire (Hybrid - 2 days a week in the office)
We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Software Development Manager to lead and inspire a team of software engineers, driving the delivery of secure, scalable and high-performing trading websites.

The ideal candidate will have online/retail/B2C websites experience (with high traffic), will have managed and led Agile teams, implementing Agile ways of working and have experience of the digital marketing domain - things like SEO, digital advertising, conversation rate optimisation etc.

In this role, you will:
  • Build, lead and motivate a high-performing development team, providing mentoring and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee the delivery of new features, enhancements and bug fixes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Define and maintain the technical vision and roadmap for our E-commerce platforms, working closely with architects, UX, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Champion software engineering best practice, Agile delivery, and secure development standards.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, resilience and compliance with UK regulations including GDPR and PCI-DSS.
About You:
  • 10+ years in software development, including at least 3 years in an E-commerce software development management role.
  • Proven experience delivering secure, high-traffic retail websites in a UK online multi-category retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of E-commerce platforms, APIs, custom development and SaaS integrations.
  • Skilled in Agile and sequential delivery models, with experience of delivering complex digital projects in Legacy environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience with digital marketing, merchandising and content management tools.
  • Knowledge of payment service provider integrations, cross-platform mobile tools and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working with offshore delivery teams.
