E&I Technician

E&I Technician - Rotterdam, Netherlands

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join a leading industrial services company supporting various sectors such as petrochemical, energy, and manufacturing. Based in the Rotterdam area, you will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting E&I systems to ensure the reliability and safety of plant operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instruments, sensors, and control systems.
• Carry out inspections, loop checks, and functional testing of systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Support commissioning and shutdown/start-up activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards (ATEX, NEN, IEC).
• Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to support plant reliability.

Requirements:

• MBO Level 3 or 4 in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar E&I technician role within industrial, petrochemical, or process environments.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Familiar with ATEX zones and safety regulations.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Valid VCA certificate or willing to obtain.
• Dutch language is a plus, but English-speaking candidates will be considered.
• Must have a valid driving license.
