Job Title: Dynatrace Consultant
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)
Rate: £620 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months initially (with potential extension)
Contract Type: Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Dynatrace Consultant to join our Observability Centre of Excellence. You'll play a key role in driving adoption of the Dynatrace platform across hundreds of engineering teams, ensuring best practice integration with existing monitoring ecosystems.

Working closely with platform engineers, application owners, and DevOps teams, you will provide both technical guidance and practical enablement to help deliver a world-class observability function.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert consulting and enablement to internal teams on Dynatrace usage and adoption.
• Guide engineering teams in building dashboards, alerts, and service flow mappings.
• Craft and optimise complex DQL queries to deliver actionable insights.
• Support migration from Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to Dynatrace.
• Advise on RBAC models and data access strategies for security and scale.
• Shape monitoring strategies for Kubernetes workloads in hybrid environments.
• Promote Observability-as-Code using Terraform, GitLab, or other IaC frameworks.
• Contribute to reusable patterns, documentation, and enablement material.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with Dynatrace platform (consulting, onboarding, or solution design).
• Strong knowledge of Dynatrace Query Language (DQL).
• Solid understanding of hybrid infrastructure (cloud + on-prem) and modern application stacks.
• Real-world expertise in monitoring Kubernetes with Dynatrace, including OneAgent deployment.
• Strong knowledge of host, process, and service organisation within Dynatrace.
