Duty Technician - Winchester (Onsite, SC Cleared) | 5-Year Programme | Inside IR35

SR2 are working with a large consultancy partner to deliver a long-term 5-year programme near Winchester. We're looking for experienced Duty Technicians to join the team on an initial SOW starting early November 2025.

Key Details

• Location: Near Winchester (onsite only, no remote working)
• Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm/7pm-7am), 4 days on/4 days off
• Contract: 5 years (initial SOW)
• Start Date: Early November 2025
• IR35: Inside IR35
• Rate: Competitive (depending on experience)
• Clearance: Active SC clearance required (SC + NPPV preferred)

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming technical support incidents, requests, and changes for a Level 2 support service.
• Manage your personal call queue, ensuring timely updates and customer communication.
• Resolve a wide range of issues, from password resets to complex server queries.
• Escalate issues to 3rd Line support when required.
• Work closely with 3rd Line delivery teams, development, and project teams.
• Perform software builds/re-builds on PCs and laptops.
• Fix hardware faults and install client upgrades.
• Provide excellent customer service as part of a close-knit, highly skilled team of engineers.

• Proven experience in IT support/technical support roles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
• Experience with incident management and escalation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a shift-based, onsite environment.
