Dutch Payroll Functional Lead Consultant - 11 Months - €695/Day

We're looking for an experienced Dutch Payroll Functional Lead Consultant to join a major payroll transformation programme. This is a client-facing role where you will lead functional payroll workstreams, drive requirements gathering, support testing and data validation activities, and ensure a successful payroll implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation, complian ce, and end-to-end payroll implementation delivery.

This will be a remote role, Dutch language skills not required - only strong English language skills.

If based in the UK, we expect this to be an OUTSIDE IR35 role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead client kick-off sessions and facilitate payroll functional requirements workshops
• Capture payroll configuration requirements and support completion of payroll workbooks
• Identify and manage deviations from standard payroll products and processes
• Work closely with Product teams to configure and deploy payroll solutions
• Support payroll solution, integration, and end-to-end testing activities
• Perform payroll and data validation activities across multiple systems
• Coordinate defect management and resolution with project and technical teams
• Support data mapping, migration validation, and issue resolution throughout the project life cycle
• Investigate and resolve payroll integration issues
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel payroll testing phases
• Define workarounds and practical solutions to address project issues and risks
• Contribute to project planning and maintain relevant project documentation
• Lead knowledge transfer activities to Delivery, Application Services, and Operational Payroll teams

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance requirements
• Proven experience delivering Dutch payroll implementation projects
• Experience within a payroll outsourcing, payroll software, or payroll consulting environment
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll implementation life cycle
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to gather, analyse, and clearly document business and functional requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical and cost-effective solutions
• Experience supporting payroll testing, data migration, validation, and integrations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work within fast-paced, complex, and global project environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
