We are seeking a passionate, compassionate administrative professional to support our clinical workforce in the Trust. Your role will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital wards, directly contributing to the wellbeing and comfort of patients.
Job responsibilities- Provide primary administrative support to named Consultant/s, clinical staff and all patients under their care including diary administration, correspondence and other administrative duties.
- Open and prioritise incoming post, ensuring supporting information is available when appropriate and taking responsibility for actioning urgent items in the absence of the Consultant or other clinical staff.
- Monitor urgent investigation requests to ensure they are processed appropriately.
- Maintain an accurate and current filing system, ensuring letters, clinical reports, diagnostic test results and other notes are filed correctly in paper or electronic record systems.
- Provide a robust administration function that underpins the delivery of a high quality service and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, nursing and administrative staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative role preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients, families and medical staff.
- Attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 per annum (pro rata)
Site: Churchill Hospital - 37.5 hours per week.
Appointment type: Full-time or part-time (open to applicants).
