Who are we?

DriveSafe is a key partner of Safer Roads Greater Manchester, a multi-agency partnership committed to Vision Zero - a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and life-changing injuries, while increasing safe, healthy and equitable mobility for all.

We are responsible for delivering the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS), such as Speed Awareness Courses, on behalf of Greater Manchester Police.

You will support Deaf clients through their DriveSafe journey and be a source of technical help for both Deaf clients and trainers alike.

You will have experience of using multiple software systems, video communication apps, social media channels and be able to analyse complex spreadsheet data and provide solutions. You will also have experience of engaging and communicating with stakeholders with a range of requirements and have excellent communication skills. You'll also provide a range of administrative support to DriveSafe managers and will be educated to at least 'A' level, BSL level 3 or equivalent.

What you do and how you do it is important - whatever type of role you work in at TfGM - and even small behaviours and actions can have a really big impact. At TfGM, our behaviours bring to life our values of Deliver, Care and Adapt .

What we can offer you

This is a permanent role and comes with a salary of £36,093 - £41,161 per annum depending on experience, working with supportive colleagues and opportunities to collaborate across teams.

  • Free bus travel within Greater Manchester and free rail or Metrolink travel to and from work within the Greater Manchester boundary.
  • Local Government Defined Benefit Pension Scheme which includes life cover of 3x your salary and options to increase your pension contributions
  • Commitment to learning and personal development and upskilling with reimbursement of professional fees, where essential to the role
  • We promote good physical and mental health and can provide additional support to staff via our employee assistance programme when required
