- Department for Transport Careers We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to join the Drivers Medical team in a Court Correspondence role.
This position plays a vital part in supporting legal processes related to driver medical cases, ensuring accurate, clear, and timely preparation of case documentation for court proceedings.
You will work in a people-focused environment, upholding Civil Service values and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities- Prepare witness statements by providing factual document evidence in chronological order for coroners, Crown court, magistrates' court or sheriff's court.
- Ensure the correct legal pathways are taken when a road traffic accident, incident or road safety or criminal incident is identified.
- Represent DVLA in court (in person) or via Cloud Video Platform (CVP) if required.
- Process any court orders, taking all relevant actions in terms of medical enquiries and refer to relevant operating instructions.
