Driver/Handler

Position Summary

This post is part of the Meals on Wheels service in Buckhaven. The role involves delivering pre-ordered meals to the homes of service users on a specified daily route, completing relevant paperwork, and undertaking general kitchen duties. The working pattern is 17.5 hours per week on a 7 days on, 7 days off rota over a 52 week contract. The role requires a full driving licence and the completion of an elementary food hygiene certificate through provided training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to service users on the assigned route.
• Advisory communication with the line manager regarding client welfare when necessary.
• Maintain client confidentiality and complete required documentation.
• Perform basic kitchen duties as requested.
• Attend induction training and stay compliant with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full valid driving licence.
• Commitment to providing reliable service, working independently or as part of a team.
• Successful completion of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership.
• Attendance at an induction training day prior to starting.
