Driver Helper (3 Month Contract) - Athlone

Summary

The primary role of the Driver Helper is to assist the delivery drivers on their daily deliveries, including manually loading vehicles with products and travelling with drivers to unload items at customer premises.

Contract

Fixed term contract of 3 months.

Rate of Pay

€14.28 per hour.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist with loading, unloading, and preparing delivery vehicles with drivers, following routes and time schedules.
• Maintain communication with operations supervisors/managers.
• Follow health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation, self motivation, and problem resolution skills.
• High level of endurance, energy, and desire to perform successfully.
• Ability to effectively listen, understand, and respond positively to requests with an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities/tasks.
• Prioritise work and perform well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Work effectively within a team and collaborate with other departments.
• Comfortable working on own initiative or following a predefined process.
