• Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Track project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.

  • Monitor contract costs, change orders, and funding allocations.

  • Report variances between planned and actual spending.

• Scheduling & Progress Monitoring

  • Coordinate with project managers and engineers to update schedules.

  • Use tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project to manage timelines.

  • Ensure milestones align with DOT requirements.

• Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all financial and operational reporting meets state or federal DOT standards.

  • Maintain documentation for audits and reimbursements.

  • Verify compliance with grant or funding rules (especially on federally assisted projects).

• Data & Reporting

  • Prepare reports for management, DOT inspectors, or funding agencies.

  • Analyze trends and risks that could affect project delivery.

• Coordination

  • Work with contractors, consultants, and agency staff.

  • Help integrate cost data with engineering or construction progress reports.
