Donation Centre Volunteer - Various Roles

At St Nicholas Hospice Care, our retail teams run welcoming, well stocked shops across West Suffolk. Our Donation Centre, based at Barton Road, has a number of opportunities available and we're looking for enthusiastic new volunteers.

Warehouse Assistant or Driver's Mate
We're looking for people to help move furniture, load and unload deliveries and collections from our vans, and pack items to go to our various shops around the region. You'll need to be physically fit for this role, keeping things moving as our furniture items sell quickly.

Clothes Sorters
We receive a high volume of donated goods, including clothes, linens and shoes. These items need sorting before they can go onto the shop floor or be donated to other shops. This role helps keep our stock moving swiftly and involves handling a variety of goods.

Book Scanning
Book sorting is a fun way to help customers find the right titles. This role involves scanning and organizing books for the shop.

In return for your efforts as a volunteer in any of these roles, you'll become part of a warm and productive retail community who are passionate about what they do. You'll also be invited to join us at hospice social events throughout the year.
