Hours: Part-time, six days per week (Monday - Saturday or Sunday - Friday), 6:00am - 12:30pm, 52 weeks per year

Uppingham School is looking for a friendly, motivated, and reliable Domestic Team Leader to join our welcoming Domestic Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in creating a clean, safe, and inviting environment for pupils, staff, and visitors across our academic buildings.

The Role

Working closely with the Assistant Cleaning Manager, you will lead and support a team of Domestic Cleaners, helping to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the School. Your responsibilities will include planning cleaning schedules, carrying out quality checks, managing cleaning supplies, and supporting the recruitment, training, and development of team members. Most importantly, you will inspire and motivate your team, leading by example and fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

The position requires working six days per week, either on a Monday to Saturday or Sunday to Friday schedule, from 6:00am to 12:30pm, throughout the year (52 weeks per annum).

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with previous cleaning and supervisory experience, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to organise and prioritise effectively. You will be a confident communicator who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering an excellent service. A proactive, approachable, and professional manner is essential, as you will work closely with colleagues and interact with pupils, parents, and visitors as part of the wider school community.
