Job overviewLeeds & York Partnership NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a Domestic Assistant on a part time basis to join our Facilities team in providing five star cleaning services at Mill Lodge and Clifton House. Facilities are a progressive and forward thinking department looking for a self motivated Domestic Assistant.
Main duties of the jobYou will join a domestic team ensuring a clean environment in line with the Cleaning Standards for our service users, colleagues and visitors. The role requires working 5-7 days a week, including some weekends and bank holidays. Position is 22.5 hours per week; hours vary but are between 0700 - 1900 according to rota.
Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesThe post holder is responsible for providing a high standard of domestic service to patients, staff and visitors within Clinical/Non Clinical departments, alone or as part of a team. The Soft FM service is provided as part of the wider Estates and Facilities Directorate. The domestic Assistant works as part of a multi disciplinary team, delivering a high standard of cleaning in areas of high activity with frequent change. Staff must be flexible, adaptable and work to support other staff who have clinical responsibility to service users.
Person specification Knowledge- Basic knowledge of C.O.S.H.H., health and safety and cleaning standards

Fixed Term Contracts for existing NHS Employees - temporary contracts for employees of LYPFT, or colleagues joining from another NHS Trust, will be offered on a secondment basis wherever possible. In the event this is not possible, an FTC would be issued and this would require a break in service of two weeks.
The purpose of a temporary role could be for maternity cover, temporary funding or some other reason. At the end of which the need for the temporary work will cease. Temporary roles can stop, be extended and/or made permanent at any point during the period of work. Should the role become permanent then the post holder will be informed of the process to be followed to convert the position to a permanent one.
All new employees are required to subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
