Tasks & Responsibilities- Research and teaching in the area of Economic Theory, Empirical Microeconomics, Econometrics, Industrial Organisation, Behavioural/Experimental Economics, or International Economics
- Completed scientific university education (M.Sc. / M.A. / Diploma / Magister) in Economics or a related quantitative-mathematical discipline with outstanding grades
- Strong interest in Economic Theory and Policy, Industrial Organization, Behavioural Economics, International Economics, Empirical Economics, or Econometrics
- Very good knowledge of theoretical and empirical economic methods
- Excellent command of the English language
- Pay scale grouping up to EGr. 13 TV-L, depending on personal qualification
- Qualification position under the Act on Fixed-Term Employment Contracts in Academia (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG) with the goal of obtaining a PhD
- Initial contract limited to 2 years, with the option for prolongation by two additional years upon reaching agreed targets
- Focus on Competition Economics and Regulatory Issues in research and teaching, with close links to competition policy practice
- Supervision of research topics in Applied Microeconomics, including Behavioural Economics, Experimental Economics, International Economics, and Econometrics
