Job Description

A respected and expanding private practice firm is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join its successful and well-regarded litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys varied, challenging work and wants to progress within a supportive, collaborative environment.

The firm welcomes candidates from NQ (Newly Qualified) through to senior level, with a solid background in civil or commercial dispute resolution.

The Role

You will manage a mixed and engaging caseload, which may include:

  • Contractual disputes
  • Commercial litigation
  • Property and land disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Shareholder and partnership disputes
  • Debt recovery and enforcement
  • Contentious probate and trust litigation
  • Mediation, negotiation, and ADR work

Support and supervision will be tailored to your PQE level, with senior solicitors handling more complex matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running your own caseload from instruction through to resolution
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, and legal correspondence
  • Conducting legal research, case analysis, and risk assessments
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court matters
  • Managing deadlines, case strategy, and procedural requirements
  • Building strong relationships with clients and referrers
  • Supporting the continued growth of the litigation department

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (England & Wales)
  • NQ to 6+ PQE in dispute resolution or litigation
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil and/or commercial disputes
  • Confident drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and client-care abilities
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload
