The Company

This is a compelling opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Clinical Optometrist to join a leading Independent clinic based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinically advanced environment.

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Dispensing Optician to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional eye care services, providing expert advice on lenses, frames, and contact lenses, and ensuring patients receive the highest standard of service and aftercare.

The Role:

In this clinically focused environment, your responsibilities will include:

• Dispense spectacles and contact lenses according to prescriptions issued by optometrists or ophthalmologists
• Advise patients on lens types, coatings, frame styles, and suitability based on lifestyle needs and prescriptions.
• Accurately take facial measurements and ensure proper fitting and adjustment of eyewear.
• Provide aftercare support, including repairs, adjustments, and patient advice.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on frames, lenses, and optical technologies.
• Support the wider practice team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with GOC (General Optical Council) guidelines and practice policies.
