The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established independent practice near Reading that is looking to welcome an experienced Dispensing Optician to its close-knit team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected practice where patient care, continuity and personalised service are at the heart of everything they do. With long-standing private patients and a reputation built on quality rather than volume, you'll have the time and freedom to provide a truly bespoke dispensing experience.

The Practice

The practice is a long-established, independent optical practice located near Reading.
With three consulting rooms, 50-minute test times and an entirely private patient base, the focus is firmly on delivering exceptional clinical care and premium eyewear solutions.
This is not a volume-driven environment. Instead, patients return year after year because of the personal relationships built with the team and the outstanding level of service they receive.

The Role

As Dispensing Optician, you'll be responsible for:

" Delivering a premium dispensing experience to private patients
" Recommending bespoke lens solutions and premium products
" Building long-term relationships with patients
" Supporting the clinical team with patient journeys
" Providing outstanding customer service from start to finish
" Maintaining the high standards and reputation of the practice

About You

We're looking for someone who:

" Is a qualified Dispensing Optician
" Has previous experience within an independent practice
" Is well-presented, professional and personable
" Enjoys building long-term patient relationships
" Has excellent communication and customer service skills
" Is passionate about quality eyewear and patient care
" Wants to be part of a stable, supportive team environment

Experience within a premium independent setting would be highly advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

" Salary between 30,000 - 40,000 DOE
" Full-time position
" 4 or 5 days per week considered
" Alternate Saturdays
