Overview

Disability Assessor (PIP / WCA) - Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics (PIP only), Pharmacists (PIP only). Hybrid Working Monday to Friday Competitive Salary + 5% Bonus

Everpool Recruitment, one of the UK's leading Health & Social Care recruiters, is hiring Functional Assessors across South West and South-Central England. Salary
  • PIP Assessor (3 assessments per day): £40,000 + 5% bonus after training
  • WCA Assessor (5 assessments per day): £42,000 + 5% bonus after training

Candidates should ideally be open to either PIP or WCA, depending on local availability.

The Role
  • Review medical evidence and supporting documents
  • Conduct structured assessments (face-to-face, telephone, or video)
  • Explore how health conditions impact daily living
  • Assess whether activities can be completed safely, repeatedly, within a reasonable time, and to an acceptable standard
  • Consider variability, including flare-ups and fatigue
  • Produce clear, evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • Follow DWP safeguarding and professional standards
Training

You'll receive a 12-week paid, full-time training programme covering assessment techniques, DWP guidance, report writing, and ongoing support before working independently.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year's post-registration experience in an adult setting
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and report writing skills
  • Confident using IT systems
