How you'll add value Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales, Sample & Repository Services (SRS), the Director Sales will lead the commercial strategy within their assigned team territory. Close coordination with marketing, inside sales, and technical experts will be required as part of a broad strategy to drive growth, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain our market leading position. In addition, the Director Sales will be specifically accountable for growing relationships and opportunities with a named account. What you'll do You will enable a team of Account Managers to position our state-of-the-art biorepository facilities and associated services. Develop and execute an effective business growth plan in line with SRS strategic initiatives and sales funnel management best practices - focusing on growth opportunities including new market penetration. Develop a team capable of fully articulating the critical benefits of Azenta's full suite of cold and ultra-cold chain sample storage solutions and detail how we minimize risk, improve sample quality, and enhance access for our clients' valuable samples, materials and drug products. Achieve annual sales goals within assigned territory through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of client accounts predominately focused on pharma and biotech. Conduct regular sales coaching, performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development for sales team members. Generate bi-weekly forecasts and prepare reports in conjunction with business needs. Work in partnership with the Project Management organization to provide comprehensive client management. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sales management. Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth. Continuously apply Lean principles to identify opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency improvements, and innovative solutions to drive ongoing growth and success. As a leader you will actively motivate and energize the team, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, encouragement, and strategic goal setting to drive success. What you'll bring Bachelor's Degree required (Biology or life sciences preferred). Proven background in sales with direct laboratory life sciences services Sales management experience (direct laboratory life sciences services preferred). Proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales goals through team performance. Ability to work under pressure and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects; while prioritizing sales actions for sales team. Confident and clear communication (written and oral) skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders internally and our clients' organizations. Willing and able to travel overnight (potentially globally) as required, attending client meetings and repository tours with your team and named account, as well as internal meetings, training, and conferences. (up to 50% of the time). Demonstrated drive for excellence while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships and respect for others.
