Connecting clients to markets - and talent to opportunity.

With 4,300 employees and over 400,000 retail and institutional clients from more than 80 offices spread across five continents, we're a Fortune-100, Nasdaq-listed provider, connecting clients to the global markets - focusing on innovation, human connection, and providing world-class products and services to all types of investors.

Whether you want to forge a career connecting our retail clients to potential trading opportunities, or ingrain yourself in the world of institutional investing, The StoneX Group is made up of four segments that offer endless potential for progression and growth.

Business Segment Overview: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you'll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: At StoneX, our information security teams don't just defend the business-they enable it.

As the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, you'll set the vision and lead the teams that design our secure foundations and deliver the engineering that makes them real. Your mission is to ensure we have a clear roadmap, that leaders under you are empowered to succeed, and that security is seamlessly woven into how StoneX builds and operates at scale.

This isn't a role for button-clicking-it's a role for leading. You'll guide managers and senior architects, strengthen their ability to deliver, and partner with executives and business leaders to balance risk with opportunity. By combining strategy with execution through people, you'll foster a culture where security is both resilient and innovative.

On Day 1, you will step into leadership of a seasoned team of managers and architects. Your priority will be to listen, learn, and assess-understanding the strengths of your people, the dynamics of the team, who key stakeholders are, and the current state of our architecture and engineering efforts. From there, you'll begin shaping growth plans, developing leaders, and iterating with the team to strengthen how we deliver. You'll also work quickly to build relationships across the business. Success in this role starts with building trust, not with making sweeping changes.

Primary duties will include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Own the Security Architecture and Engineering roadmap, ensuring it's aligned to business priorities and evolving threats.
  • Building Leaders: Develop and mentor managers and senior architects so they can grow high-performing, empowered teams.
  • Driving Outcomes: Keep teams focused on the right priorities, ensure accountability, and remove barriers to success.
  • Partnership: Be a trusted voice with executives and technology leaders, shaping decisions so that security enables progress rather than slows it down.
  • Culture: Set the tone for collaboration, inclusion, and curiosity across global teams.
  • Financial Stewardship: Own and manage the budget for Security Architecture and Engineering, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, financial decisions are sound, and long-term forecasting is in place.

As the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, a typical week might include the following:

  • Spending at least four days in the office, engaging directly with leaders and teams to drive alignment and momentum.
  • Meeting with managers and architects to review roadmap progress, coach on challenges, and ensure resources are applied effectively.
  • Partnering with executives and technology leaders to align priorities, upcoming initiatives, and long-term strategy.
  • Facilitating leadership development by mentoring your direct reports and helping them build their own management capabilities.
  • Participating in meetings to represent security, influence decisions, and communicate progress.
  • Reviewing key initiatives for alignment with standards and principles, while leaving technical execution to the leaders under you.
  • Reviewing financial performance, budget allocations, and forecasts to ensure resources are used wisely.
Qualifications

This job might be for you if:

  • You're a leader of leaders - you find fulfillment in building managers and senior architects into stronger, more confident leaders.
  • You're a strategist at heart - you love setting the vision and roadmap, but you also get energy from seeing your teams execute and win.
  • You're collaborative - you know security isn't about saying "no," it's about finding a way forward with the business.
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity - whether it's a new regulation or an unexpected challenge, you adapt quickly and help others do the same.
  • You're approachable - people trust you because you're authentic, whether you're working with executives or engineers.
  • You're culture-driven - you believe in creating a team where people are excited to show up, grow, and do meaningful work.
  • You're financially savvy - you can manage budgets responsibly, align investments with outcomes, and make decisions that balance impact with cost.

To land this role you will need:
