Director of Product Development

Accountabilities:

• Lead and mentor engineering managers and technical leads, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance
• Define and evolve technical architecture across products, balancing scalability, maintainability, and speed of delivery
• Drive the transformation of software development lifecycle practices by integrating AI-assisted and automated engineering workflows
• Establish and enforce best practices in coding standards, testing, code reviews, and release management to ensure reliable delivery
• Monitor engineering performance metrics to identify risks, improve processes, and guide data-driven decisions
• Optimize team structures and workflows to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and long-term scalability
• Collaborate with product, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities while maintaining engineering autonomy
• Provide hands on technical guidance when needed, including architecture reviews, system optimization, and complex problem solving

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in software engineering leadership, including managing managers and scaling distributed or remote teams
• Strong technical background with hands on experience in modern development practices, system architecture, and cloud based environments
• Proven expertise in leveraging AI technologies, including LLMs and automation tools, to enhance developer productivity and delivery speed
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and leading technical transformations in fast growing environments
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use metrics and data to drive decision making and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical and business priorities
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands on execution when required
