Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of People to join a nationally recognised Charity. This is a 6 month FTC role leading the People team to deliver high-quality HR services and strategic initiatives, ensuring employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to contribute to the organisation's mission. The role will be overseeing a team of over 10 staff and will be working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees.

Key responsibilities of the role
  • Lead and develop the People team to deliver outstanding HR service and employee support
  • Oversee policy development, employee relations, and performance management processes
  • Lead and evolve our people strategy to support organisational growth and impact
  • Manage the organisational development function and advise on change
  • Lead a complex TUPE process that covers multiple sites
  • Oversee the HR business partnering team and liaise closely with the Head of HRBP
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous development
  • Advise senior leadership on workforce planning and change management
  • Oversee the people shared services department
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
Ideal candidate profile
  • Proven strategic HR leadership experience
  • Experience in a HR Director role for a large Charity or Housing Association
  • Strong values alignment with our social mission
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to people and culture

Salary

£90,000 per annum + benefits
