Finance & Operations Director

Hybrid working: 3 days at home 2 days in office or meetings

Our client is looking for a senior finance leader to join a national membership body. A strong fit for a qualified accountant with broad corporate services oversight and confidence operating at Board level.

Key Focus Areas Financial Leadership

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and audit across the group.
• Ensure financial sustainability, commercial discipline and effective revenue monitoring.
• Oversee investments, reserves strategy, risk management, KPIs and management information.
• Maintain compliant, efficient company structures, contracts and financial controls.

Operations & Corporate Strategy

• Drive operational planning and cross directorate coordination.
• Support strategic planning and new business initiatives.
• Lead organisational performance, cultural change and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure robust due diligence and compliance across all trading activities.

Corporate Services Oversight

• Oversee HR, EDI, governance, membership support, business continuity and property strategy.
• Act as Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Lead contract management, supplier performance and service delivery.

Ideal Background

• Fully qualified accountant with strong commercial and strategic acumen.
• Proven experience leading finance and corporate services in a similar sized organisation.
• Confident operating at Board level and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong change management, analytical and organisational capability.
