This position falls under our International Vehicle Payments (IVP) line of business and is located in London, Victoria.In this pivotal role, you will be driving organic & inorganic growth and will be a catalyst in shaping the company's future success. Within the context of our overall vision, and by advocating the big picture with drive and passion, you will work both strategically and tactically to assess market opportunities, to conceptualize new ideas, present options and pitch to senior leaders. All this supported by compelling strategic rationale and quantitative business case analysis.In order to thrive, you will possess a blend of business, strategic and new market development capabilities, technical awareness, along with excellent problem solving capability. In addition, you are highly motivated, a self-starter, capable of working both independently and in teams, across multiple projects, with ambitious drive and spirit. You will also possess a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and be numerate and analytical, with the appetite and willingness to take ownership of projects and follow-through from initiation through completion.You will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer, IVP and regularly collaborate with the wider Strategy team, IVP business leaders and supporting teams across Europe and the UK. How We Work As a Global Strategy Director, you will be expected to work in a hybrid office environment. Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include performing and/or managing the following: Strategic Planning and Development: Lead the formulation, development, and execution of corporate strategic plans including annual budgeting & target setting. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic priorities and goals. Develop business models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making. Lead Execution and Performance Monitoring: Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and projects. Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track progress against strategic goals. Provide regular updates to the executive team on the status of strategic initiatives. Market, Partnerships and M&A: Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Identify emerging market opportunities including potential M&A and partnerships. Develop competitive intelligence strategies to inform business decisions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives across the organization. Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to drive collaboration and innovation. Support teams in translating strategic goals into operational plans. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers, to communicate the company's strategic direction. Build and maintain relationships with external partners to support strategic initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's (required) or Master's (preferably MBA) Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management or related field Prior experience working in strategy in a corporate environment or consulting firms. Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and attention to detail.
