Job Description
We set out to build the world's most trusted consulting firm - creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start ups, in every sector.
You'll find us collaborating shoulder to shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk, or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their organisations tick - slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges.
We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world - from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.

Our People & Talent practice are looking for an experienced Director specialising in People Transition, and deep experience in Government and / or Energy and Resources to join the team. The world is changing fast: customer expectations are shifting, technology is evolving, and organisations need adaptable workforces to keep up. Our team helps leaders rethink their workforce so their people can thrive. From strategy to execution, we support clients to shape future workforce plans, transition teams into new structures and ways of working, and transform People Functions to deliver real, measurable performance.

With deep expertise in business, AI and emerging technologies, we help organisations navigate this change. We're now looking for a Director to join us and help shape the future of work.

We want someone with strong experience delivering workforce transitions in the Government and/or Energy & Resources sectors, with a track record of using modern technologies to accelerate capability and performance. You'll understand the unique challenges and opportunities in these sectors and translate them into practical workforce strategies.

We're particularly looking for someone who combines strong leadership with a clear vision for how emerging technologies and AI can enable successful people transitions, and who brings credible experience delivering impactful, people led, technology enabled change.

The type of work we do While every client challenge is unique, the kinds of projects we often lead include:
  • Designing and delivering end-to-end people transition programmes within complex stakeholder environments, often linked to major operating model or enterprise transformations.
  • advising on how to operationalise people transitions in response to structural or business change, and optimising the People Function for sustained performance.
  • building future-focused workforce strategies using strategic workforce design and capability assessment.
  • accelerating skills development through targeted upskilling and reskilling and creating capability academies underpinned by AI-enabled talent and career solutions.
  • driving modern performance management and employee experience practices across organisations.
What you will be doing This leadership role sits at the heart of our People and Talent team. You will shape, sell, and deliver workforce transformation work across the full lifecycle. Your people transition and workforce design expertise will enable you to build readiness, lead operational change, and guide organisations through shifts in roles, structures, and teams.

You will also drive thought leadership by developing new approaches, sharing insights, and building your external profile. Internally, you'll help grow the team, develop future leaders, and create strong followership.

As a trusted advisor you'll work directly with senior leaders in Government and/or Energy & Resources, applying your expertise to their most complex challenges, delivering best-in-class solutions, and supporting business growth through strong client relationships.

Your skills and experience We are looking for a leader who brings:
  • a strong track record of selling and delivering large-scale workforce transformation programmes from discovery to execution.
  • experience designing and operationalising future workforces, ensuring readiness for role, structural, or operating model changes.
  • deep capability in applying emerging technologies and AI to enhance workforce performance, capability, and employee experience.
  • experience working with or alongside HR functions to drive talent strategies and organisational performance.
  • sector expertise and relationships in Government or Energy & Resources, with an interest in deepening industry collaboration.
  • a history of building high-performing teams, mentoring leaders, and developing talent.
  • strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in complex environments.
  • established client relationships and a proactive approach to developing new opportunities.
