Work Hours: 22.2 hours per week.
Contract Type: Part time, temporary until 31/07/2027.
Additional Payments: Casual car allowance.

The role is for a specialist Digital Skills Lecturer to plan, deliver, assess and moderate part time adult courses from entry level to Level 3 on one or more of the specialist pathways.
Curriculum areas: Level 1 Level 3 Programming, Level 1 Level 3 Networking, Level 1 Level 3 Cybersecurity.
Responsibilities- Deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard.
- Accurately assess learners, both formatively and summatively, against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
- Teach online lessons where appropriate and teach in centres across the city as needed, including occasional evening classes.
- Take some course leadership responsibilities.
- Participate in team meetings and working groups.
- Comply with service quality assurance procedures and policies.
- Take personal and professional responsibility for keeping up to date in the subject area.
- Track record of successfully delivering teaching/training on pre employment and work progression programmes, experience with varied cohorts (seeking first employment, career transfers, upskillers).
- Degree and/or higher level vocational qualification.
- GCSE A C / 9 4 in English or equivalent (essential).
- GCSE A C / 9 4 in Maths or equivalent (essential).
- Assessors qualification (desirable) or willingness to achieve.
- Level 5 teaching qualification (L3 essential) or willingness to achieve.
- Commitment to develop teaching skills/qualifications and occupational competence (essential).
- Professional and academic competence/qualifications to teach on the qualifications.
- Experience of adopting a range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Use of e learning platforms such as Equal, Google Classroom and others, or willingness to learn.
