DevOps Patch Engineer/Brussels (Hybrid)/Full-Time freelance

Location: Brussels, Belgium (2 days on-site per week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OPS Engineer to support enterprise patch management and operational security activities within a large-scale IT environment.

Please note: While the original role includes DevOps and automation technologies, the primary focus is on operations, patch management coordination, stakeholder communication, and ensuring the successful execution of patching activities. Strong organisational and coordination skills are essential, while Scripting and DevOps experience are considered advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the end-to-end patch management life cycle.
• Plan, schedule, test, deploy, and validate security patches across enterprise environments.
• Coordinate monthly and emergency patching activities with internal teams and external vendors.
• Track and follow up on patching requests to ensure timely completion.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security compliance initiatives.
• Maintain patch management standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and business stakeholders.

You'll help coordinate patching activities for a range of enterprise platforms, including:

• And other critical business applications.
