DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer (BPSS/SC Eligible) - £400/day via Umbrella - 5 Month Contract - Manchester or Newcastle (Hybrid) - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a growing team supporting a large enterprise organisation through to the end of March. This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps Engineer with strong automation, cloud and infrastructure expertise to work within a collaborative environment delivering business-critical services.

Your responsibilities as the DevOps Engineer:

• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Terraform.

• Automate and manage configuration using Ansible.

• Support cloud and enterprise-scale environments.

• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and automation issues.

• Ensure solutions align with established standards, governance and best practices.

• Work independently while collaborating effectively with wider technical teams.

As a successful DevOps Engineer, you will have:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer within enterprise environments.

• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience.

• Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.

• Strong Ansible automation and configuration management skills.

• Experience using Git and modern branching strategies.

• Experience working within cloud-based environments.

• The ability to work autonomously and deliver to agreed standards.

• BPSS clearance or eligibility to obtain it.

• Eligibility for SC Clearance if required. Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.
