DevOps Engineer

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the existing team on a brand-new project.

This role is based in London.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

What You'll Do

• This role will be working in a Mobile Test Environment Software Engineer with DevOps focus.
• The team is seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in DevOps and a willingness to expand into mainframe and DataPower analysis.
• This role primarily involves managing mobile test environments and conducting in-depth analysis of issues related to DataPower, mainframe systems, and AWS. The candidate will play a key role in troubleshooting and ensuring the stability of these environments, while also contributing DevOps expertise to enhance our processes.

Key DevOps Skills Required:

• Kubernetes: Hands-on experience in managing and orchestrating containerized applications.
• Terraform: Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for resource management and automation.
• GitLab CI/CD: Skilled in implementing CI/CD pipelines and automating workflows.
• GitLab: Experience with version control, branch management, and repository management.
• Python: Competent in scripting and automation tasks.
• Docker: Ability to containerize applications and manage containerized environments effectively.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong DevOps skill set with the ability to adapt and learn mainframe and DataPower systems to the extent required for issue investigation and problem resolution.
• Analytical mindset with experience in problem solving.
• Willingness to cross-train and delve into mainframe and DataPower where required, while bringing modern DevOps practices to the team.
