DevOps Engineer - Active SC Required

Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for a x2 DevOps Engineer on a 6 months contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices.

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.

• Deploy, configure, and manage containerised applications on Amazon EKS.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and automated deployments.

• Work closely with Developers, Architects, and Delivery Managers to optimise environments for performance, scalability, and security.

• Automate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive service management.

• Ensure compliance with GDS, security, and governance standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve environment/infrastructure issues in a timely manner.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).

• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation.

• Solid experience working with Kubernetes/EKS in production environments.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).

• Proficient with Scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).

• Good understanding of security best practices within AWS environments.

• Experience working in Agile/GDS-aligned delivery environments.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
