Development Underwriter - Property & Casualty New Business

About the role: We're seeking a Development Underwriter to lead Zurich's new business drive in the Property and Casualty (P&C) sector. In this strategic, growth focused role, you will be at the forefront of identifying, securing, and underwriting new opportunities, helping Zurich strengthen its position in the mid market.
Your Impact:
- Proactively source, develop, and secure new Property and Casualty business, expanding Zurich's portfolio and market share
- Build and nurture strong relationships with brokers, clients, and industry partners to unlock new opportunities and raise Zurich's profile
- Lead the underwriting of complex and high value P&C risks, delivering tailored solutions that meet the needs of new and prospective clients
- Monitor and analyse market trends and regulatory changes, using your insights to target untapped segments and shape winning business strategies
- You will play a key role in supporting the wider regional team by fostering growth through coaching and development, encouraging collaboration, and driving commercial success
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in Property and Casualty underwriting, with a strong focus on business development and client acquisition
- Excellent technical and analytical skills, able to assess complex risks and identify new business opportunities
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills to build lasting market relationships
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with a passion for business growth and market engagement
