On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer for a 12 Months contract based in Nottingham (5 days onsite).

Purpose of the role:

As IT Support Analyst you'll provide onsite hands-on technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support Microsoft 365 technologies, and help colleagues get the most from their technology. You'll be working closely with users at all levels, including senior leadership, delivering an exceptional support experience while helping to maintain a reliable and productive IT environment.

What you'll do:

• Provide first and second-line onsite IT support for hardware, software, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, Teams, and business applications.
• Configure, build, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment using tools such as Autopilot.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to Windows, Mac OS, networking, wireless connectivity, video conferencing, and remote access technologies.
• Manage and resolve incidents, requests, and service tickets through ServiceNow while maintaining agreed service levels.
• Support engineering and business applications, including AutoCAD and other specialist software where required.
• Act as a trusted technology partner to employees, delivering excellent customer service and confidently supporting stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

The skills you'll need:

• Proven experience in desktop support, IT support, client services, or infrastructure support within a Microsoft environment.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, Microsoft 365, Windows, Mac OS, and mobile devices.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
• Knowledge of laptop builds, device deployment, Microsoft Autopilot, and general endpoint management.
• Exposure to networking, wireless connectivity, server room environments, patching activities, and engineering applications such as AutoCAD is highly advantageous.
