Desktop Engineer

Lorien's government client is currently recruiting for Desktop Support Engineers to join on a contract basis.

Candidate must have SC Clearance or be willing to obtain SC Clearance with a UK passport.

Clinic Migration Set-up:

1. Set up Refresh Clinic.
2. Move the required quantity of devices as instructed by the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager from the onsite storage location to the Refresh Clinic location.
3. Login to systems as required via devices provided by the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager under their instructions.

Refresh laptops:

1. Collect existing devices from users and hand over new devices according to the migration schedule and project processes.
2. Handover and collect the correct number of devices in accordance with the migration schedule.
3. Update the Contractor's workflow management system at all relevant steps.
4. Report issues arising from migration activity promptly and accurately to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
5. Pass unresolved issues to an onsite Post Migration Support Engineer.
6. Conduct manual stock checks daily and report findings to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
7. Place collected devices from users into packaging used for new devices. Mark the outside of the box to indicate whether it is for 'disposal' or 'Refurbishment' following the device Designation Rules.
8. At the end of each day, move all devices and equipment into the onsite storage location.
