Design Manager Associate Director

Role Overview

As an Associate Director - Design Manager at Jacobs, you will sit at the heart of delivery, accountable for end to end design across major capital programmes. You will operate in a highly visible, client facing role, leading integrated teams in alliance and Design and Build environments, ensuring designs meet technical, programme, commercial and construction realities.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated multidisciplinary teams on major capital programmes.
• Ensure designs meet technical standards and programme, commercial and construction realities.
• Manage technical risk, change and complex interfaces.
• Communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders, translating complexity into clarity.
• Act autonomously at a senior level, exercising credibility and judgement.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with 12+ years' experience in water & wastewater.
• Strong track record in detailed design and Design & Build delivery.
• Deep understanding of NEC3/NEC4, alliancing and integrated delivery models.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing technical risk, change, and complex interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills.
