Design Director

This global network agency has access to a client pipeline that most boutiques can't match. Five new FMCG relationships have come through since Christmas alone, meaning a Design Director joining now walks into a studio with momentum, not one standing still.

The Role

You'll lead concept development on packaging and consumer brand projects from brief through delivery. This means translating brand strategy into visual and conceptual thinking - the kind of consultancy-grade work that starts with genuine strategic rigour rather than pure aesthetics.

You'll present to senior stakeholders on high-stakes rebrands, mentor designers within a 24-person creative team split between consumer and B2B work, and collaborate directly with Creative Directors and strategists alike. The reporting line is to one of two Creative Directors on the consumer side, in a studio structure built for real autonomy at Director level.

The work includes major rebrands of globally recognised airlines, payment systems, and FMCG brands. Recent projects have involved international workshops, and the portfolio spans the kind of identity transformations that define careers in this discipline.

The Package

£60,000 - £80,000. Hybrid working - three days in the office, two days from home. Core hours run 10:30 - 16:30 with genuine flexibility. The office includes rooftop space, wellness facilities, and on-site services. International project travel when work requires it.

The Person

A Design Director or ambitious Senior Designer with 8 - 12 years at a brand consultancy. Your portfolio shows strong consumer and packaging work, and you think of yourself as a brand designer who understands strategy, not someone who executes other people's concepts. You're likely ready for a bigger client platform or more strategic involvement from project start.
