About the role:Can you bring creativity, practical skills, and technical knowledge into engaging Design & Technology lessons?
Queensbury School requires a Design & Technology Teacher to support creative and practical learning within our educational setting. We are looking for an innovative and well organised professional who can help students develop design thinking, technical confidence and hands on skills.
Responsibilities of a Design & Technology Teacher- Teach practical lessons that combine design thinking, creativity and technical skills
- Guide students through project stages, from research and planning to final production
- Support safe and responsible use of tools, materials and equipment
- Encourage students to test ideas, solve problems and improve their work
- Provide feedback that helps students develop both practical and written outcomes
- Maintain an organised learning space that supports focused practical work
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience delivering Design & Technology lessons in classroom settings
- Strong understanding of design processes, materials, and practical techniques
- Ability to manage practical activities safely and confidently
- Good communication, planning and organisational skills
