Location: Darlington
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join our Integrated Design & Delivery (IDD) team. You will lead a team of installation technicians and contractors (MEICA) in surveying, designing, procuring, and delivering low complexity/short duration asset replacements/enhancements across water, wastewater, and commercial sectors.
The IDD team is expanding due to increased capital investment, and you will help support our framework partners. Your role includes leading this transformation, ensuring a safety-focused culture is embedded within the teams.
You will manage people and resources, maintain the team's delivery plan, and oversee the operating budget. Monitoring performance indicators and supporting continuous improvement are key responsibilities.
We seek someone with strong team-building skills, performance management experience, and the ability to foster a positive working environment.
About you
Previous experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering team or relevant leadership behaviors is essential. You should be confident working with contract stakeholders, possess excellent organizational and planning skills, and be able to formulate and implement project plans.
Practical technical experience, a strong health and safety ethic, knowledge of CDM regulations, and excellent communication skills are required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and MS Project is desirable but can be developed. A full UK driving license is mandatory.
