Dermatology Clinician/ Specialist

Communitas Clinics Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dermatology Clinician to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive dermatological services to NHS patients referred by local GPs. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering professional and ethical care within a legal framework, adhering to GMC requirements and our local policies.
Main duties of the jobMain Responsibilities:
- Clinical Triage and Assessment:Conduct clinical triage for all dermatology referrals and provide thorough assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and advice for both acute and chronic dermatological conditions.
- Minor Surgical Procedures:Perform minor surgeries, including excision of low-risk basal cell carcinoma, following national guidelines.
- Patient Management:Offer prescription management in line with CCG formulary and support patient self-management plans.
- Professional Development:Engage in continuous personal and professional development, maintaining clinical competence through relevant literature and training in accordance with GMC and Royal College of General Practitioners standards.
- Communication:Ensure clear and sensitive communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
- Quality Service Delivery:Adhere to NSF, NICE guidelines, and evidence-based care. Participate in self and peer reviews, audits, and shared learning to improve care quality.
Communitas Clinics is a provider of NHS community ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) and Dermatology services, operating across London and the South East of England. Patients are referred to our service by their GP, and appropriate referrals are then treated in community settings by specialist clinicians.

Person Specification Qualifications- Dermatology: 3 years (required)
- NHS: 1 year (required - if not looking to be sponsored)
- UK GMC number (required)
- Clinical Expertise: Proven experience and competence in dermatology, including diagnosis, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information and provide clear guidance to patients and colleagues.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to meetings and shared goals.
- Commitment to Quality: Strong focus on delivering high-quality care, adhering to guidelines, and participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Technological Proficiency: Proficient in using clinical software for record-keeping and data analysis.
- Professional Registration: Maintain relevant professional registration with the GMC and ensure up-to-date medical indemnity and DBS certification.
- Clinical Expertise: Proven experience and competence in dermatology, including diagnosis, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information and provide clear guidance to patients and colleagues.
